I was traveling, and when I landed, I found numerous alerts that former civil rights activist Laura Miti took time to condemn me on a radio program.

I’ve just completed listening to her awful, hateful, and immature statements made against me, Brian Mundubile, and the opposition in general.

I’m surprised and alarmed by Laura Miti’s poisonous attempt to cast me as “the most dangerous person against President Hichilema’s government: and that “I must be caught and be extradited to Zambia to face “Justice”

Yet sitting at her own table at the Human Rights  Commission is my unattended to complaint about how I was abducted and tortured by officers of the Zambia Police, how they attempted to cover up their crimes by turning the charge that I had assaulted a police officer.

She also knows that I fled the country, because of serious threats against my life and the determined attempt by the State to abuse the police and the courts-of-law to throw me in prison and throw away the key like they have done to colleagues like Raphael Nakacinda and the desperate attempts against my life.

She knows that I cannot face a fair trial with the hate and vitriol against me from State House and from lackeys like herself.

Typical.

When you expose their corruption, abuse of human rights and criticise their policies, their response has always been to resort to the abuse of the law , arrest, and lock you away.

It is the reason that they have weaponised laws such as cyber and seditious practices.

Anyway…

To put it clearly, it is Laura that says some of the most dangerous statements against the interest of our country and our people.

In her interview on 5FM, she failed to condemn the  mass irregularities that just occurred in the elections, the failure by ECZ to deliver a free and fair election and with the its covert activities the utter robbery of that election.

But she was quick to  urge Zambians “to move on as elections are over.”

As usual her insipid, extreme and corrosive hate for the Patriotic Front was on open display and she sadly extends this hate to innocent people like Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu who occupied junior positions and of were little influence under that government.

She failed to condemn the abuse of the army to storm ECZ totalling centres and help alter results, the halting of the vote count, ECZ wanton fraudulent inflation of election results and the open theft of parliamentary and mayoral seats like it happened in Chingola, Luanshya, Kabwe and Lusaka and the closure of courts of law to prevent an electoral presidential petition.

She also failed to condemn Hichilema’s tribalism, abuse of human rights, corruption, and poor management of the economy.

She spent time showering groveling praises on Hichilema and Musokotwane, key personalities who are held for the five year failure.

Yet she claims I’m the most dangerous person against the country because “the international community listens to me”.
Well I was Zambia’s top diolomat for eight years and an informative, transformative and influential one. You can’t blame them for trusting the record than your lies and hate.

She claims I “make up lies and statements.”

She said I must be extradited to Zambia.

Let’s look at what the International Community has said in the last 3 months;
1. Amnesty International has recently issued strong statements regarding Zambia, warning of stalled reforms and an escalating crackdown on civic space ahead of and following the country’s August 2026 general elections. While the organization previously commended structural improvements—such as the abolition of the death penalty and the repeal of criminal defamation laws in late 2022—its current assessments express deep concern over a regression into authoritarian practices, the killing of former Cabinet Minister, Mutotwe Kafwaya and the arbitrary arrests.

2. United Nations human rights experts have raised urgent concerns over a sharp escalation in the crackdown on political opposition and civic freedoms in Zambia following the August 2026 general elections.

Post-Election Crackdown and ArrestsIntensified Repression: Following Zambia’s contested presidential and parliamentary elections in August 2026, UN Human Rights Council-appointed experts reported a surge in systemic violence, widespread intimidation, and the arrest of hundreds of opposition supporters.

Detention Concerns: Many detainees have reportedly been held beyond legally mandated timeframes without formal charges.

High-Profile Charges: Senior opposition alliance leaders, including Brian Mundubile and running mate Makebi Zulu, have faced severe, “concocted” charges of treason—an offense punishable by death under Zambian law.

3. Gina Romero, the Special Rapporteur on the right to peaceful assembly and association, along with UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk, urged Zambian authorities to immediately halt arbitrary arrests, release political detainees, and respect fundamental freedoms.

4. The global lawyers demanding justice, respect for the judiciary, and justice for Mutotwe Kafwaya. Credible entities such as such as the IBAHRI Zambia Statement, the ICJ Zambia Statement, the Law Society of England and Wales Zambia Statement, the BHRC Zambia Statement, the East Africa Law Society Zambia Statement, the PALU Zambia Statement, and the Lawyers for Lawyers Zambia Statement, to verify statements from these organizations regarding the electoral process, judicial independence, court accessibility, legal practitioner safety, and institutional demands.

5. Human Rights Watch, governance, and human rights conditions in Zambia have grown increasingly restrictive, marked by a shrinking civic space and a crackdown on perceived political dissent. Authorities have increasingly targeted journalists, youth activists, and political opposition leaders with harassment, intimidation, and arbitrary arrests for criticizing the government.

6. On August 12, 2026, four U.S. senators released a joint statement expressing deep concern over a deteriorating electoral environment in Zambia ahead of the August 13 general election.

The Senators Involved; The statement was signed by:Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations CommitteeSenator Cory Booker (D-NJ), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health PolicySenator Jeff Merkley (D-OR)Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD).

7. On September 17, 2026, the European Parliament overwhelmingly adopted a resolution titled “Post-electoral repression in Zambia and the killing of Mutotwe Kafwaya,” condemning the democratic backlash following Zambia’s August 2026 general elections.

The resolution—passed by 562 votes in favor, 1 against, and 33 abstentions—places the fatal shooting of former cabinet minister and opposition figure Mutotwe Kafwaya at the center of growing international concern.

8. The Council of Anglican Provinces of Africa (CAPA) and the local Zambia Anglican Council (ZAC) have issued strongly worded pastoral statements addressing the heightened political tensions and human rights concerns following Zambia’s August 13, 2026, general election.

According to Laura, all these concerns are a creation of Emmanuel Mwamba.

She dismissed strong views that the country was in crisis, dismissed assertions that citizens were in living in fear, and that the outrage about the theft of elections or its post electoral crisis was not true.

In my view, the dangerous people against Hichilema are praise singers like Laura Miti that view Hichilema as the best thing after slice bread, and seek to bury their heads in the sand.

The truth is that Zambians have rejected Hichilema for his pervasive attacks against the election, his abuse of the human rights, the killing of Mutotwe Kafwaya, the arbitrary arrests, the  looting of state and public resources, his divisive and tribalism practices and his abuse of democratic and state institutions but the biggest of all is the failure to attend to the economy.
