President Hakainde Hichilema has assured residents of Manyama in Kalumbila District that the area will continue to receive government attention and development support, while calling on voters to back the United Party for National Development (UPND) in next week’s elections.

Addressing thousands of supporters at a public meeting in Manyama, President Hichilema said his administration remains committed to ensuring that all parts of the country benefit from national development initiatives.

He emphasized that the government’s focus is on moving Zambia forward and safeguarding the progress made since taking office. The President urged citizens not to return to what he described as the challenges and economic difficulties experienced under previous administrations, including the accumulation of unsustainable national debt.

“We need to protect the gains made so far by continuing on the current development path,” President Hichilema said. “This is not the time to look back, but to move forward together as a nation.”

The Head of State pledged that Manyama and the wider North-Western Province would continue receiving a fair share of national resources. He highlighted ongoing government efforts to improve infrastructure and public services, including the construction of roads, schools, and health facilities.

President Hichilema also pointed to social and economic programmes being implemented by the government, saying a renewed mandate for the UPND would enable the administration to expand initiatives such as Cash for Work, Social Cash Transfer programmes, job creation, and business opportunities.

He called on residents to turn out in large numbers and vote for the UPND in the upcoming polls scheduled for Thursday.

The President concluded by thanking the people of Manyama for attending the rally in large numbers and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to improving livelihoods across the country.

“We love you, we care for you, and we will continue delivering for you all,” President Hichilema said.
