President Hakainde Hichilema has called on the residents of Luanshya to vote for the UPND on 13th August in order to continue with the developmental projects that his government delivered in the last four years and 11 months of being in power.

President Hichilema cited free education, the school re-entry policy, the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and the Social Cash Transfer as some of the incentives that his administration delivered to the Zambian people.

Speaking at Mikonfwa grounds in Luanshya district on the Copperbelt Province this afternoon, President Hichilema stated that his government has enhanced the economic status of the district through the revitalisation  of the shaft 28 mine.

President Hichilema has also promised to complete paying ex RAMCOZ workers, serials and Mpelembe drilling employees when re-elected on August 13.

The Head of State has advised the residents of Luanshya not to listen to political parties that he said had no proper vision to lead the country.

“Do not listen to the people that have joined other political parties to disguise themselves as different people,” said President Hichilema.

President Hichilema stressed that the residents of Luanshya should vote for UPND so that they continue working on the township roads such as Roan -Mpatamatu which is in a deplorable state.

The Head of State also noted that he is aware of the challenges that small scale miners face saying that he is going to resolve them when re-elected in office.

“We are going to legalise mining because we need to protect all the citizens across the country. There is no parent who will allow their children to die carelessly,” said President Hichilema.

President Hichilema also stated that he is going to work on the sewerage system in Roan Township.

“I am aware of the poor sewerage system in Roan township and we are going to work on it, ” said President.

President Hichilema stated that Miners are facing a lot of problems and has designated a day specifically for the miners to discuss their challenges.

“I am aware of the challenges that miners are facing, so I have designated a day specifically for these miners so that we can discuss their challenges,”
