Zambia : President Hichilema Dates Northwestern Province

Provincial Deputy Permanent Secretary Luckson Mulumbi said during a media briefing in Solwezi today that President Hichilema is expected to visit six Districts namely Mushindamo, Kalumbila, Ikelenge, Manyinga, Mufumbwe and Kasempa from Thursday 6th to Friday 7th August,2026.
Mr Mulumbi said during his visit, President Hichilema is expected to interact with members of the general public on various developmental programmes.
”The President is expected to land at Solwezi airport at about 07:30 hours and members of the general public are encouraged to turn up in large numbers to welcome the President,” he said.
He has called on people in the respective Districts to turn up in large numbers and accord the President a warm welcome.
Mr Mulumbi further urged and guided members of the general public to maintain order during the President’s visit.
United Party for National Development Provincial Chairperson Adam Sapezo says the party in the region is happy to host the President for two days to interact with his people saying the gesture shows the love he has for the people of Northwestern.
Mr Sapezo said the party is ready to host the Head of State.
