Dr Zyuulu who died aged 64 at the University Teaching Hospital on Thursday, July 30, 2026, following an illness, will be put to rest on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Musana Village in Chikankata District of Southern Province.
President Hichilema has also declared Thursday, August 6, 2026, as a Day of National Mourning.
This is made available in a statement issued to the media by the Secretary to the Cabinet, Patrick Kangwa.
Mr Kangwa states that the burial service for the late Dr Zyuulu will be preceded by the official Church funeral service to be held on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross at 10:00 hours in Lusaka.
Mr Kangwa has since advised members of the public that during the mourning period, all flags must fly at half-mast which will be observed from 06:00 to 18:00 hours.
