It was Daka’s second goal in two friendly matches for Hamburger since joining the German side.
Speaking to club media, the former Leicester City forward said he is looking forward to building a connection with teammates and fans.
“This season, I am mostly looking forward to having a lot of fun with the team and the fans as well. I am looking forward to that connection between the team and the fans and hopefully we have success together and have special moments,” Daka said.
Daka completed a free transfer from Leicester City to Hamburger SV late last month on a one-year contract with an option for an additional year.
He marked his debut with a goal in a test match.
The 27-year-old says scoring remains special to him regardless of the setting.
“I think for me it is always special to score goals whether it is training or a game. It is always special, I love that feeling. A feeling that you can’t explain to anyone until they experience it. For me to do it in the stadium, I think made it extra special,” Daka said.
Hamburger SV will be looking to Daka’s goals as they prepare for the new Bundesliga season.
