The Tonse Pamodzi Alliance further notes that, according to the Electoral Commission of Zambia, the distribution of ballot papers to the respective districts is scheduled to commence on 2nd August, 2026.

We also wish to indicate that the verification process was attended by stakeholders drawn from participating political parties, civil society organizations, and representatives of the European Union, who, at the time of the exercise, were the only international observers present.

The Alliance observed the receipt of the first consignment of ballot papers, comprising 202 pallets, which arrived from Dubai through Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. We subsequently escorted the consignment to the ECZ warehouse in Silverest. We also observed the receipt of the second consignment comprising 185 pallets.

Following our participation in the physical inspection and verification process, the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance is satisfied with the conduct of the exercise and appreciates the transparency demonstrated during the verification of the ballot materials.
