The Board of Trustees and Members of State55-Afrikan have congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia, describing his victory as a testament to the confidence Zambians have in his leadership.

In a congratulatory message signed by Secretary General Oseni Adeoye and Vice President–Diaspora Baruti Katembo, the organisation said President Hichilema’s continued stewardship offers hope not only to Zambia but to the entire African continent at a time when Africa needs steady hands and bold ideas.

The Board said the win is a clear testament to the confidence people have in his leadership, vision and commitment to prosper all of the Zambian people.

State55-Afrikan commended the President for the peaceful conduct of the electoral process and for the renewed trust citizens have placed in him to lead the country into another chapter of remarkable success.

“As you embark on this new mandate, we pray for wisdom, strength and good health for you and for continued peace and development for the good people of Zambia and may it be of Africa too,” the organization said.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bonds of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect with the people of Zambia.

It expressed readiness to work with the President and his administration to advance shared goals of social and economic justice and good governance based on African peer mechanisms.

Further, State55-Afrikan said it believes President Hichilema can enhance the quest for African integration towards a federal state anchored on the ideology of pan-Africanism, by people participation.

The organisation extended the assurances of our highest consideration and best wishes for a successful tenure of office.
