Police have formally arrested and charged National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) 2026 Presidential Candidate Brian Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu with seditious practices.

The two were arrested and jointly charged today at around 11:45 hours at Kabwe Central Police Station.

Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Timothy Malumo says the offence is contrary to Section 57 of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

Mr Malumo says Mr Mundubile and Mr Zulu have since been returned to Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility, where they are being held pending further police procedures and their appearance before court.
