 A 26‑year‑old man has been attacked and robbed of his motorbike by two unknown men in the Chizongwe School area of Chipata District.

Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba said the incident occurred on Saturday, September 12, 2026, around 18:00 hours.

Mr Mweemba said the victim, identified as George Zulu of Mchini Compound in Chipata, reported the matter at Chipata Central Police Station at about 20:12 hours the same day.

He said Zulu was attacked by the two men, who robbed him of his Gatoma motorbike, registration number ARD 1925, black in colour, valued at 26,500 Kwacha.

Mr Mweemba said the victim sustained multiple cuts to his face after being assaulted with an unknown object.

He said a police medical report form was issued to the victim.

Mr Mweemba said no arrests had been made and the motorbike had not been recovered.

He said police had since instituted investigations into the matter.
