Zambian music and creative circles are being called upon to rally behind veteran musician and actress Viola Banda, who is reportedly going through a difficult period marked by health challenges and financial struggles.

The appeal has been made by fellow Zambian musician B Flow, who is asking the music industry, creative community, friends, fans and members of the public to come together and support Banda as she prepares to begin treatment.

According to B Flow’s appeal, Banda’s health challenges have affected her ability to work and provide for her family. He said the situation has also resulted in financial difficulties, including her eviction from her home after she was unable to keep up with rent payments.

B Flow said Banda is currently unable to walk without the assistance of crutches as she prepares to undergo treatment.
