KAMBWILI SAYS HICHILEMA WANT TO STEAL USING PRESIDENCY NOT TO GOVERN.

Former Information Minister Chishimba Kambwili has claimed he will present what he describes as evidence alleging that President Hakainde Hichilema has enriched himself while in office.

Speaking during a live broadcast on his Facebook page, Hon. Dr. Chishimba Kambwili, the former minister alleged that the President has accumulated wealth through proxies and by using the powers of the Presidency.

“I’ll tell you what companies he is using to make money, such as at ZESCO and the mines. So join me tomorrow [today] at 10:30. Mr. Hakainde Hichilema is not here to govern; he is on the Presidency to make his money,” Kambwili alleged.

Kambwili also said he would challenge President Hichilema to disclose how many cattle kraals he owned before assuming office in 2021.

He further argued that Zambians deserve to know the value of the President’s assets before he took office and how those assets have changed during his tenure.

“We want to know the value of his assets today. He now has farms all over the country for cattle. We want to know where these farms have come from. People should not be deceived,” he claimed.

Kambwili also urged residents of Luanshya not to take the President’s remarks at face value ahead of his scheduled visit to the town.

In addition, he questioned why suspected UPND supporters allegedly blocked NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile in Luampa, claiming the ruling party had sensed defeat in the area.

The allegations made by Mr. Kambwili have not been responded to at the time of publication.
