Iran Criticizes U.S. Nuclear Modernization, Warns of Global Consequences

Iran has criticized the United States’ efforts to expand and modernize its nuclear arsenal, warning that Washington’s nuclear policies could pose a threat to global security.

According to Press TV Français, Iranian officials argued that continued expansion of U.S. nuclear capabilities could have “very serious consequences” for the world and described the issue as a danger affecting “all of humanity.”

🇮🇷 Tehran’s Accusations Against Washington

Iran said the United States should not continue increasing or upgrading its nuclear weapons stockpile, accusing Washington of applying double standards on nuclear issues.

Tehran also highlighted historical events, noting that the United States remains the only country to have used nuclear weapons in wartime, referring to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

Iran has repeatedly argued that global nuclear policies should be based on equal treatment and has defended what it describes as its right to maintain security capabilities in response to perceived threats.

🌍 Wider Nuclear Tensions

The statement comes amid continued tensions between Iran and the United States over nuclear issues, with no comprehensive agreement currently resolving disputes between the two countries.

Washington has long raised concerns about Iran’s nuclear activities, while Tehran maintains that its program is peaceful and accuses the U.S. of using nuclear concerns as political pressure.

The latest comments represent a broader diplomatic message from Tehran as global debates continue over nuclear modernization, arms control and strategic stability.

Iran has not announced any specific new measures in response to U.S. nuclear policies, but officials warned that the issue remains a major international security concern.
