PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema pledged continued government investment in Shangombo District, Western Province, saying the area “is home to fellow Zambians” and will receive more roads, health facilities, schools and business support.

The Head of State said his administration “will continue doing the feeder roads. More health facilities. More schools. More business opportunities, grants and all.” “We shall continue developing Shangombo because just like any other part, it is home to fellow Zambians,” the president said. He also called on residents to vote for his party in the upcoming elections. “Sichaba sa Shangombo. Come August 13th, 2026, go and vote for us,” Hichilema said, adding in Lozi: “Mulimu abe nimina sichaba sa Shangombo,” meaning “May God be with you, the people of Shangombo.” The president closed the message saying, “We love you.
