EU ELECTION OBSERVER MISSION TO ZAMBIA (EU-EOM) IN FINAL PHASE, PREPARING FINAL REPORT
Statement from the EU-EOM FB Page:
The Mission is entering its final phase and is now preparing its final report, which will provide a comprehensive assessment of the entire electoral process and will include recommendations to improve future elections.
The Chief Observer, Mr Michael McNamara MEP, will present the report together with his core team experts to the Zambian authorities, political parties, civil society, other stakeholders and the wider public, approximately within two months.
The EU EOM is independent in its findings and conclusions – including from the EU Delegation to Zambia. Its recommendations are prepared in line with EU methodology.
Following the Mission’s departure, the European Union in Zambia, working together with Zambian stakeholders, will be ready to support efforts towards their implementation.
We thank everyone who met and engaged with the Mission throughout this period.
