Job Description VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: COORDINATOR – RELIABILITY Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the position of Coordinator – Reliability to join the versatile Maintenance Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by: Communicating Honestly, Transparently, and Acting with Integrity Exhibiting a Results-Driven approach Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy Taking Responsibility and being Accountable Committing to Zero Harm Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships Reporting to the Superintendent – Reliability, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) reliability strategy by implementing condition monitoring programs, conducting root cause analysis, and driving reliability improvement initiatives. The role aims to enhance asset performance, availability and reliability, reduce equipment downtime, improve MTBF and MTTR and promote a culture of continuous reliability improvement across the operation. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Lead initiatives to improve overall equipment reliability, reduce downtime and optimize life cycle costs. Assign and monitor reliability and condition monitoring tasks, ensuring timely development and implementation of solutions to prevent recurring failures. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between maintenance, operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance. Develop, review, and enforce asset maintenance strategies using RCM, FMEA, PMO, and RCA frameworks. Improve equipment reliability through equipment condition monitoring review and asset integrity review. Develop life cycle cost models for critical assets and optimize life cycle costs. Manage reliability processes such as defect elimination, lubrication programs, condition monitoring, and QA/QC adherence. Develop and maintain condition monitoring workflow process. Develop and implement contamination control strategies that improve component life and reduce premature failures. Develop and maintain the contamination control strategic plan. Conduct periodic reliability performance reviews and recommend strategic improvements based on aggregated data and team insights. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Full Grade Twelve School Certificate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering. Significant 5 years’ experience in reliability/condition monitoring, preferably within the HME environment. Holder of ARP / CMRP, Condition monitoring and NDT certification will be an added advantage Proficiency in the use of CMMS systems (e.g., SAP) and MS office suite Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia Holder of a valid Zambian driver’s license; will be an added advantage. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
