Former Zambia midfielder Gift Kampamba says Patson Daka is likely to settle quickly at German club Hamburg because the physical nature of Bundesliga football suits his style of play.

‎Daka joined Hamburg from English Premier League side Leicester City last month.

‎Speaking on the move, Kampamba said Daka’s years of experience in Europe will help him adapt fast.

‎“German football is different from English football, German football is more physical and that suits Patson Daka’s style of play. Patson has been in Europe longer so he won’t struggle much to settle,” he said.

‎The former Nkana and Mamelodi Sundowns star said Daka will also benefit from guidance from fellow Zambians who played in Germany.

‎“We have Moses Sichone and Andrew Sinkala who have played in Germany and will definitely guide him. Daka is not new to the European environment. His move from England to Germany is like shifting from one town to another,” Kampamba said.

‎Daka previously played in Austria* with Red Bull Salzburg before his stint in England.

‎However, Kampamba expressed disappointment that Daka was only handed a one-year contract at Hamburg.

‎“It’s a pity he has been handed a short contract. Patson is still young. He needed something like a three year contract, I’m sure by the time he will be settling that contract would have finished,” Kampamba said.
