Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka is in Germany to finalise a proposed move to Bundesliga side Hamburg SV.

Reports from Germany indicate that Daka and Hamburg have reached an agreement.

The 27-year-old has been clubless since the expiry of his contract with English side Leicester City.

According to Sport Bild and Hamburger Abendblatt, Daka’s current estimated market value is €3m

Hamburg are desperate for attacking reinforcements ahead of their second season in the German top flight.

The club scored only 40 Bundesliga goals last season, with no striker netting more than five.

“Daka spent a combined six seasons playing for Austrian Red Bull System clubs RB Salzburg and FC Liefering and does speak proficient German. One thus expects – pending a passed medical – a deal like this one to be wrapped up quickly,” the reports stated.

Daka spent five years at Leicester City but suffered demotion to League One with the Foxes last season.
