VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT AT LINDE HOTEL POSITION: WAITER /WAITRESS LOCATION: MPONERA OVERVIEW Linde Hotel is seeking a passionate, creative and experienced Waiter/ Waitress To deliver professional, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to hotel guests in accordance with the hotel’s service standards, ensuring a consistently high-quality guest experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities Welcome guests professionally and assist them with seating arrangements. Present menus, explain menu items, daily specials, and promotions. Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them correctly into the system or order docket. Serve food and beverages promptly and according to hotel presentation standards. Ensure guest satisfaction by checking service quality and addressing concerns immediately. Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of dining areas before, during, and after service. Process guest bills accurately and handle cash, card, or room charge transactions responsibly. Observe all hygiene, health, and safety regulations in line with hotel and statutory requirements. Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow. Follow hotel policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and code of conduct. Assist with room service, banquets, and special functions when required. Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and staff meetings. Qualifications and Experience Certificate in Food & Beverage Service, Hospitality, or Hotel Management. Minimum of 1 year experience in a hotel or reputable restaurant preferred. Knowledge of hotel service standards and customer care principles. Skills and Competences Excellent guest service and communication skills. Professional appearance and good personal hygiene. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Strong teamwork and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment. Basic cash handling and billing skills.
