TAILWIND LOGISTICS ZAMBIA LIMTED Along Kitwe – Ndola Dual Carriage Way (Opposite Zambia Compound Kamfinsa Area) EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Tailwind Logistics Zambia Ltd is looking for vibrant, energetic and qualified individuals to join the logistic sector in the following positions: Operations Assistant – x 1 Position Brief Job Description: Operations Assistant will be responsible for daily routines including; Supporting all supply chain procedures coordinating deliveries managing border documentation, Vehicle Licences and Certificates and ensure that the trucks are in the road-worth condition save as a point of contact for drivers, status updates and resolve disputes Track shipments and monitor Vehicles in Real-Time to prevent and manage transit delays Perform accurate data entry and update operational logs Perform any other assignment as instructed by the Operations Manager. Requirements and qualifications: Grade 12 Certificate A diploma or degree in transport, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. 1 to 3 years of working experience within a transport, freight, or warehouse environment. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and logistics tracking software. Good geographical knowledge, sharp problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and clear verbal communication Valid Driving Licence is a must. Team player Truck Mechanic – X 2 Positions Brief Job Description Truck Mechanic at Tailwind Logistics will be responsible for keeping commercial fleets running safely and efficiently by performing diagnostics, routine servicing, and heavy repairs which includes: Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks / trailers / tankers, including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tyres, warranty procedures, driveline, steering and suspension, electrical, mobile AC and overhaul and engine rebuilds, with safety as the top priority Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service lorries, including inspection, tyre rotation and oil changes. Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles Perform both Roadside breakdown support and workshop duties Plan time-based services and notify the logistics team when trucks are due for maintenance or scheduled for repairs. Requirements and qualification; Grade 12 Certificate High school diploma, supplemented by a vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics. Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and air brake systems. 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience working on commercial, heavy-duty trucks or trailers. Physical stamina to lift heavy Components; work in tight spaces, and a valid driver’s license. 3 Traceable references Fleet Controllers – X 2 Positions Brief Job Description Fleet Controller will be responsible of overseeing daily vehicle movements, tracks shipments in real time, and coordinates drivers to ensure safe and efficient deliveries. Monitor vehicle locations and driver behavior in real time using GPS and telematics. Manage trip scheduling from dispatch to completion Communicate daily trip requirements, coordinate working hours, and ensure adherence to safety rules and company policies. Schedule preventative servicing, arrange vehicle checks, and respond immediately to breakdowns or roadside emergencies Track legal requirements like licenses and permits, monitor fuel consumption, and maintain accurate administrative records. Perform any other assignment as instructed by the Operations Manager Requirements and qualification; Grade 12 Certificate A high school diploma with relevant experience; a tertiary qualification in supply chain or logistics is an advantage. Minimum of 2 to 3 years working in logistics, tracking, or transport operations. Proficiency in GPS tracking software, telematics, and Microsoft Office tools.
