Livelihoods Field Officer – Zimba District
Environment Africa Zambia (EAZ) is seeking a qualified Livelihood Officer for a period of 18 months under the “Strengthening the resilience of children, youth and vulnerable smallholder households in the Southern Province of Zambia to the impacts of climate change” project funded by Kindernothilfe, Germany. Based in Zimba District, this role will focus on implementing climate-smart agriculture, nutrition, sustainable forest management and disaster risk reduction activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Implement climate-smart agriculture with small-scale farmers. – Support the community counselling services on nutrition and health issues. – Support communities in creating and using forest management plans. – Strengthen and support local disaster risk reduction committees (DRR Satellite Committees). QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Natural Resources Management. – At least 2 years work experience in similar roles, including climate-smart agriculture and community development.
