Job description: Overall Job Purpose (brief description of this job) Provide strategic leadership and expert guidance in optimising maintenance practices and managing assets effectively to FQM operations in the region. The role involves developing and implementing best practices, frameworks, and support the development of strategies to maximise asset reliability, minimise downtime, and enhance operational efficiency. This position ensures alignment with organisational goals, industry standards, and sustainable asset performance, while driving innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across maintenance and asset management teams operating in the region. This is an influencing and coaching role in driving a continuous improvement culture in asset management with the accountability for asset performance with the site management. Hands-on experience with maintenance methodologies, such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Predictive Maintenance (PdM). Proven track record in leading large-scale maintenance optimization or asset management initiatives. Practical experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen in maintenance and asset management. Industry-Specific Experience Extensive experience in industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, mining, utilities, or infrastructure where asset management is critical. Familiarity with the operational challenges and best practices specific to the sector. Leadership and Project Management At least 5–7 years in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic projects. Demonstrated ability to lead complex change management projects involving diverse stakeholders and large budgets. Qualifications (Academic/ technical and or professional qualification required for the job) Qualifications (Academic/ technical and or professional qualification required for the job) Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (essential) In a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline. Master’s Degree (optional but advantageous) In Engineering Management, Asset Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related technical field.
