The National Assembly of Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Internal Auditor (x2). Main Duties and Responsibilities Perform duties and exercise powers as specified under the Public Finance Management Act and related regulations. Ensure salaries, allowances and other emoluments are paid strictly in accordance with financial regulations and statutes. Carry out pre-audit of payments before they are made, ensuring they are duly approved and comply with financial and public procurement requirements. Carry out post-audit assignments on financial and non-financial transactions, internal control processes and procedures. Carry out special audit engagements as requested by the Controlling Officer or identified through the audit process. Review monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts. Perform any duties assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications and Experience Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Full ACCA, CIMA, CA or ZICA. Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and/or Finance is an added advantage. Internal Audit Certification will be an added advantage. Member of both the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. Minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
