Job Description: We are recruiting! Our client in Lusaka, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the insurance industry. Finance Manager Role Overview The Finance Manager will oversee the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring effective financial management, accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports. Monitor financial performance, expenditure, profitability, and working capital. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and statutory requirements. Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes and support external audits. Maintain effective financial controls and identify and mitigate financial risks. Manage banking relationships, payments, and cash management activities. Provide financial analysis and advice to management to support business decisions. Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, efficiency, and cost management. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent. Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role. Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and financial controls. Excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
