Match your equipment experience to the vacancy

Operator roles are not interchangeable. Employers may ask for experience on a specific machine class, operating environment or licence category. Read the listing closely and name only equipment you can operate safely and competently.

Your CV should show the machine type, approximate operating experience, work environment, daily checks and safety responsibilities. Add production or utilisation results only when you can explain them accurately.

Application tips

• Name the excavator, loader, truck, forklift, grader or crane types you have operated.
• Include current licences and certifications with their correct names and dates.
• Prepare examples covering inspections, hazard reporting and safe operating decisions.
