Zambia Air Force club Red Arrows have arrived safely in Port Louis, Mauritius ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round return match against Rouge FC of Madagascar on Sunday.

‎The Airmen left Lusaka this morning via Johannesburg, South Africa, before taking a 3-hour 30-minute connecting flight aboard Air Mauritius.
‎
‎They touched down at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport at 18:52 local time, 16:52 Zambian time, after an incident-free journey.
‎
‎The team was received by Club President Col Moses Kambimbi and Chief Executive Officer Lt Col Ronald Kambani Lungu, who were part of the advance party.
‎
‎From the airport, the delegation made a 25-minute drive to Le Suffren Hotel on the banks of the Indian Ocean where they are accommodated.
‎
‎The team will have a light training session tomorrow morning to shake off jet lag before moving to Cote d’Or Stadium in the afternoon for the official training.
‎
‎Kickoff for the match is 16h30 Mauritius time on Sunday.
‎
‎Arrows hold a 2-0 advantage from the first leg in Lusaka.
‎
‎Rouge FC are hosting their home games in Mauritius because Madagascar currently has no CAF-certified stadium for international matches.
‎
‎Despite the lead, Head Coach Chisi Mbewe has urged his players to remain focused and clinical.
‎
‎“We are going to Mauritius carrying a two nil lead. I think our opponents are also preparing. So, the most important thing for us as we go to Mauritius is that we just need to be cautious. We need to ensure that we go there and utilise each of the chances that we have so that we can get the job done,” said Mbewe.
‎
‎Director Sports Col Maureen Sililo, who is accompanying the team, also cautioned against complacency.
‎
‎“We should not be complacent. We should not be satisfied with the two goals that we are going with. We should treat it as a new game altogether and win outright,” she said.
‎
‎Col Sililo added that the Zambia Air Force Command has given the team full support.
‎
‎“Command has expressed nothing but are looking forward to a positive result. They have supported us with everything, so it is up to us now to record a success on this assignment,” she said.
‎
‎The Airmen will now look to finish the job in Mauritius and secure progression in the competition.
