The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU) used in the production and delivery of bulk explosives to mining operations. The role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Operate the Mobile Manufacturing Unit safely and efficiently. Manufacture and deliver bulk explosives products according to customer requirements. Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance of the MMU vehicle and equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Complete operational documentation, production reports, and inventory records accurately. Maintain housekeeping standards on the MMU and at work sites. Identify and report equipment defects, operational risks, and safety concerns. Work collaboratively with mining personnel and supervisors to meet production targets. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Valid Code CE (or relevant dangerous goods driver’s license. Valid Dangerous Goods Permit (advantageous). Previous experience operating an MMU in a mining or explosives environment. Knowledge of blast hole charging and bulk explosives products. Strong understanding of mine safety regulations and procedures. Ability to work shifts and in remote mining locations. Competencies Strong commitment to safety. Attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
