THE Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD) has forecast isolated rainfall over North Western, Southern, Western and Copperbelt Provinces, including the northern parts of Luapula and Northern Provinces.
According to a weather alert issued by the ZMD, the forecast covers the period from September 20 to October 1, 2026.
The Department said the anticipated rainfall will be influenced by a moderate, moist and unstable northwesterly airflow associated with the Congo Air Boundary (CAB), which is expected to affect the western and extreme northern parts of the country.
The Department also indicates that the rest of the country would be under a moderate and warm easterly airflow during the forecast period.
Lusaka, Central, Eastern and Muchinga Provinces, including the southern parts of Luapula and Northern Provinces, also have a chance of experiencing isolated rainfall.
