ZADAC Breeders Zambia has encouraged citizens to venture into goat farming, describing the sector as a profitable and affordable investment with growing local and international market opportunities.

Speaking in a media briefing in Lusaka today, ZADAC Breeders Zambia Founder Bafana Moyo said goat farming offers quick returns on investment and requires less capital.

Mr Moyo disclosed that the company will hold a seminar during this year’s Agricultural show on Sunday to educate both aspiring and existing farmers on best practices in goat production.

He added that ZADAC will also conduct a goat auction aimed at giving farmers access to high-quality breeding animals while promoting transparency in livestock marketing.

“Goat farming is the way to go. It is a money spinner, and we are encouraging more Zambians to invest because the demand is huge,” Moyo said.

He also challenged the misconception that goat farming is only meant for poor or uneducated people, saying the industry has the potential to create wealth.

Mr Moyo further urged farmers to increase production of quality goats to enable Zambia meet the growing export demand and attract international buyers who require large volumes of quality livestock.
