Zambia : President Hichilema Pledges Government Offices, Housing For Lunte

 President Hakainde Hichilema has promised to construct government offices and housing units for civil servants in Lunte District, Northern Province.

‎Mr Hichilema said his government will construct these infrastructures so that civil servants should be staying in the district.

“Your vote will allow us to build district offices and houses for civil servants in the area” he said

The president has also promised to work on the Zacharia Chanda road that connects Lunte from the main Kasama-Mporokoso road and other roads in the area.

Mr Hichilema said this when he addressed residents of Lunte District during the community engagement held at Mukupa Kaoma School Grounds.

‎And the President has urged the people of Lunte to vote for the UPND in next week’s general elections.

He stated that his government has delivered massive developments across the country in the last four years of being in office.

“Vote for the UPND because of the developments it has delivered in the last four years it has been in office. We have delivered developments in several areas” he said‎

‎‎He cited the implementation of free education, the delivery of social cash transfer and the many other developments that government has delivered.

‎‎He said his government is not segregating the selection and issuance of social cash transfers to vulnerable people.

‎‎He has asked all vulnerable elderly people to register with the department of Social Welfare so that they can be added to the social cash transfer programme.

‎‎‎He adds that their vote will allow the UPND to continue with developments, and continue to deliver social cash transfers.

‎‎He added that voting for UPND will allow government to continue the employment of people as teachers, health workers, defense and security wings and other government departments.

“Your vote will allow us to employ more teachers, other than the 45,000 we employed, we will employ more health workers than those we have employed. We will also employ people in ZNS, police and others sectors” he said

‎‎He also directed the employment of all volunteer health workers and teachers in Lunte who attended the community engagement.

‎And former Minister of Technology and Science Felix Mutati who once served as Lunte Member of Parliament asked the people to vote for President Hichilema.

Mr Mutati stated that President Hichilema is the first head of state to visit the area.
