Zambia : President Hichilema Expected In Luapula On Sunday

Luapula Province Permanent Secretary, Prudence Chinama, says President Hakainde Hichilema will on Sunday, August 9, 2026, undertake a one-day working visit to the province.

Ms Chinama says this follows the President’s successful two -day working tour last month, adding that the return visit demonstrates his unwavering commitment to ensure no district is left behind.

She indicated that the Head of State will complete his tour of the remaining districts namely Chipili, Chembe, Mwansabombwe and Milenge.

Ms Chinama has noted that the President’s visit is significant, saying it reflects his determination to personally appreciate development needs in Luapula.

And Ms Chinama has also announced that the Vice President, Mutale Nalumango, will be in Luapula to grace the Ubuilile Traditional Ceremony in Chienge District scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, 8th August, 2026.
