In a statement issued, Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi said the allegations are “false and misleading” and urged the public to disregard them.
Chilabi called on members of the public to avoid creating or sharing unverified information, especially during the election period.
He warned that individuals found deliberately spreading false information intended to mislead the public may face legal action.
