Chief Mwamba of the Mambwe people of Mbala district has expressed optimism that President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration will continue to roll-out development, following his re-election in the August 13, general elections.

The traditional leader says he remains hopeful that the government will accelerate development in Mbala district, particularly in the road sector.

Chief Mwamba cited the road leading to the Zombe border, as well as the road connecting Kawimbe through Mwamba chiefdom to Kaka, as some of the developmental projects that need urgent attention.

He said improved road infrastructure will boost economic activities and make it easier for people in the area to access markets and essential services.

Chief Mwamba said this in an interview with the media  in Mbala today.

“Improved roads will not only enhance connectivity, but will also open up opportunities for our people to participate more actively in economic activities,” Chief Mwamba said.

The traditional leader has also appealed to UPND Member of Parliament for Saise, Remmy Sikazwe, to help facilitate the completion of his palace.
