UPND’s Lucky Sichone wins Konkola parliamentary seat

UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) candidate Lucky Sichone has won the Konkola Constituency parliamentary seat with 8,096 votes, Returning Officer Michael Katebe announced. Resolute Party’s Spolian Simwanda finished second with 4,630 votes. Independent candidates Benjamin Sikombe and Roy Ngosa received 3,223 and 1,393 votes respectively, while Socialist Party candidate Haggai Chisha polled 175 votes.

A total of 17,839 votes were cast. 322 ballots were declared invalid.
