THIRD-PLACED ELIAS DAKA PETITIONS MSANZALA ELECTION, CHALLENGES AMON MUMBA’S VICTORY

Former Msanzala Constituency lawmaker Elias Daka, who came third in the parliamentary election, has formally petitioned the election of Hon. Amon Mumba as Member of Parliament for Msanzala Constituency.

In the petition, Hon. Daka has named Hon. Mumba as the first respondent, while the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is cited as the second respondent.

According to information provided to Lusangazi News, Hon. Daka is challenging the declared results, citing a discrepancy between the number recorded on the Gen 20 and the votes announced by the Returning Officer.
