Ntandabale Ward aspiring councillor Christopher Bwalya of the Socialist Party has endorsed NRPUP president Brian Mundubile as his preferred presidential candidate for the August 2026 General Elections.

Mr Bwalya said that if the ruling party is to be voted out of office, the opposition must unite behind a single presidential candidate.

He argued that a divided opposition would only increase the ruling party’s chances of retaining power.

He further stated that Zambia has lacked effective leadership since 2021 and expressed his belief that Brian Mundubile has been sent by God “as our Moses” to lead the country to a better future and deliver citizens from hunger and economic hardship.

Mr Bwalya called on all opposition leaders to put aside their differences and rally behind Mr Mundubile in the interest of national unity and political change.

Despite his endorsement of Mr Mundubile for the presidency, Mr Bwalya emphasized that his loyalty remains with Dr Fred M’membe and the Socialist Party, reaffirming his commitment to the party and its ideals.
