Christian Democratic Party President Professor DANIEL PULE has called on all opposition leaders to respect the outcome of the 2026 General Election and move on.

Professor PULE says petitioning the election results could delay national reconciliation, unity, peace and development.

He has further cautioned that, given the current political atmosphere, a petition could risk the lives of innocent citizens and trigger unnecessary disturbances.

Professor PULE says the Christian Democratic Party, having participated in the elections, is confident that Zambians have spoken through the ballot and chosen to retain President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA for a second term.

He has congratulated the President-elect on the victory in the just-concluded General and Presidential Elections.

In a statement released to ZNBC News, Professor PULE said the time has come for Zambians to put the past behind them, unite and focus on rebuilding the country.

He said Zambia needs healing more than ever and has urged political leaders to put national interests above personal interests.

Professor PULE has emphasized that campaigns are now over and all Zambians should focus on building the country, stressing that Zambia is bigger than any individual or political party.

He has reaffirmed the Christian Democratic Party’s commitment to a peaceful, united and prosperous Zambia.
