Chipolopolo forward Lameck Banda has finally been unveiled by Libyan champions Al-Swehly Sporting Club after weeks of contractual disputes.
Banda has signed a four-year deal worth 1.6 million US Dollars after leaving Italian side Lecce.
Lecce had reported Banda to FIFA claiming they extended his contract to 2027 and demanded 12 million US Dollars in compensation.
In a letter also copied to the Football Association of Zambia – FAZ, Lecce demanded around US$12 million in compensation from Al-Swehly.
But FIFA ruled in favour of Banda, clearing him to join Al-Swehly.
The move now allows the Chipolopolo winger to begin a new chapter in North Africa.
Al-Swehly will compete in the CAF Champions League this season.
Banda is a regular for Chipolopolo.
He featured for Zambia at the last Africa Cup of Nations
