He subsequently discharged a firearm, shooting himself in the head, according to a statement from Assistant Public Relations Officer Timothy Malumo.
The body has been deposited at University Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem. Police said investigations have been instituted and more details will be released in due course.
