PATRICE MOTSEPE RULES OUT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA, SAYS THE COUNTRY ALREADY HAS MANY CAPABLE LEADERS TO TAKE THE NATION FORWARD

CAF President Patrice Motsepe has dismissed speculation that he could one day run for President of South Africa.

Speaking during a press briefing at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Motsepe said he has no plans to enter the race for the country’s highest office. He added that South Africa already has many capable leaders who are able to lead the nation into the future.

His remarks come after recurring public speculation about whether the billionaire businessman and football administrator could one day move into frontline politics.
