Munir Zulu rules out return to Lumezi parliamentary race

Former independent Lumezi MP Munir Zulu has ruled out contesting the Lumezi parliamentary seat, despite calls from supporters asking him to return.

Lusaka, 26 September- Mr Zulu thanked those who had reached out, saying their trust meant a lot to him.

However, he said his time in active representation was over.

“But as the saying goes, a good dancer knows when to step off the stage,” Mr Zulu said.

He added that Lumezi would always be his home and that he remained ready to offer guidance and counsel to the next generation of leaders.

Mr Zulu also said he would support whichever candidate the people of Lumezi choose to represent them.

“I will support any candidate that the people will prefer to represent them,” he said.
