MUNDUBILE OUTSHINES UPND IN NORTH-WESTERN PROVINCE,  CONSIDERED BEST CANDIDATE.

National Restoration Party–NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile attracted a large crowd at a campaign rally in Solwezi, with the event emerging as one of the most attended political gatherings in North-Western Province during the ongoing campaign period.

The rally has fueled political debate over the electoral landscape in the province, with Mr. Mundubile and his supporters arguing that the turnout reflects a shift in voter sentiment in a region long regarded as a stronghold of the United Party for National Development (UPND).

Addressing thousands of supporters, Mr. Mundubile declared that Solwezi and North-Western Province were ready for political change, insisting that the UPND and President Hakainde Hichilema were no longer enjoying the level of popularity they commanded in previous elections.

“We are grateful to the people of Solwezi for coming out in such huge numbers to listen to our message of hope. This overwhelming attendance shows that the people are ready for change. Solwezi is no longer a UPND stronghold. The people have spoken through their presence here today,” Mr. Mundubile said.

He pledged to transform North-Western Province by ensuring that communities benefit more directly from the region’s vast mineral wealth.

The province is home to some of Zambia’s largest mining operations, including Kansanshi, Sentinel and Kalumbila mines, making it one of the country’s biggest contributors to the national economy

Mr. Mundubile said an NRPUP government would create more jobs for local people, improve roads connecting mining communities, strengthen healthcare and education services, and promote agriculture, manufacturing and small businesses so that the province’s economy is not dependent on mining alone.

He further argued that despite North-Western Province’s immense contribution to Zambia’s economy, many communities have yet to see meaningful improvements in their standard of living.

Mr. Mundubile promised that his administration would ensure that the benefits of mining are shared more equitably through increased local participation, infrastructure development and investment in community projects.

The Solwezi rally forms part of Mr. Mundubile’s nationwide campaign ahead of the August 13 General Election, as he seeks to persuade voters that his alliance offers an alternative vision for Zambia’s future.
