Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) Managing Director, Cuthbert Malindi, has left the company following a mutual separation agreement with the Board of Directors.

According to a statement made available to the media by ZRL Board of Directors, the separation took effect on September 17, 2026.

The Board has appointed Company Secretary Mwendabai Bulaya as Acting Managing Director.

The Board has thanked Mr Malindi for his leadership, commitment and contribution to the company during his tenure.

The statement also reads that the appointment of an Acting Managing Director is aimed at ensuring continuity in the management and operations of ZRL.

The Board further states that it will communicate further developments regarding the company’s leadership in due course.
