Kalaba spoke when he had lunch with the two leaders in Lusaka. He said they are the first MPs since the party’s establishment.
“The two flag-bearers carry the aspirations of the Zambian people and have a responsibility to put citizens first in and outside Parliament,” Kalaba said.
He said Faith Munthali Kanyika and Robert Musonda must justify the trust placed in them, and noted their performance will set the standard for all future CF parliamentarians.
Kalaba said the party’s credibility now rests heavily on their conduct, and that the two MPs should serve as examples of citizen-centred leadership, integrity and service.
He urged them to remain accessible, accountable and responsive to vulnerable citizens.
This is according to statement issued by CF Presidential Media Coordinator Bangwe Naviley Chisenga.
