Kabompo District Commissioner Hurbert Chinyanga has urged civil servants in the district to remain non-partisan as the country heads to the polls on August 13,2026.

The District Commissioner has noted with concern that some civil servants in the district have been actively engaging in politics on social media and other platforms.

The District Commissioner also called on civil servants in the district to support and champion government programmes that are being implemented in the district.

“This government has been so tolerant to everyone, we didn’t want to start chasing people but gave everyone a chance to reform and do the right thing,” Mr Chinyanga said.

“Government is implementing a lot of programmes and it is our duty to support these programmes and explain them to our people because we live close to them in the communities we are operating from,” he said.

Mr Chinyanga further urged civil servants to uphold peace and unity among public service workers in the district as the country heads to the polls.

“As we head to the polls let us uphold peace and unity because we are One Zambia One Nation,” he said.
