I LIED, MUNDUBILE IS NOT A THIEF, VOTE FOR HIM, SAYS CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI.

Former Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili says he retracts his previous accusations against Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile, admitting he was lying.

Kambwili says his earlier claims that Mundubile pocketed US$1.5 billion meant for a road project were false and should not have been made in the first place.

According to Kambwili, Mundubile has a clean record and deserves the support of Zambians in the upcoming August General Election.

In March 2026, Kambwili made headlines after accusing the former Mporokoso lawmaker of receiving US$1.5 billion from a road contract he allegedly did not execute.

At the time, he vowed to expose what he described as Mundubile’s “dubious dealings” and publicly endorsed Citizen First leader Harry Kalaba instead.

However, Kambwili says he has since established that the allegations were based on misinformation.

“I wish to clarify that the remarks I made against Mr. Brian Mundubile suggesting that he was a thief who pocketed US$1.5 billion meant for a road were misleading. I was misinformed, and I retract that accusation,” Kambwili said

“Zambians must now vote for Brian Mundubile because his record is clean. There is nowhere you will find theft or mismanagement of resources by Mr. Mundubile. So vote for him in this August General Election,” he added.
