PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema on pledged more government investment in Kawambwa District, saying his administration has noted challenges with both major and rural roads. Hichilema thanked the people of Kawambwa in Luapula Province "for coming in unprecedented numbers." "Kawambwa district is so dear to us. We shall continue to deliver for our people here," Hichilema wrote.

Hichilema thanked the people of Kawambwa in Luapula Province “for coming in unprecedented numbers.”
“Kawambwa district is so dear to us. We shall continue to deliver for our people here,” Hichilema wrote. “We will open up Kawambwa for even more development.”
Speaking partly in Bemba, he said: “Ifwe twalatwalilila ukumubombela mwe bantu besu,” meaning “We will continue working for you our people.”
Hichilema said developments including free education will continue, and called on residents to vote for the United Party for National Development in the August election.
“We have delivered but there’s more to be done and this is why we continue working round the clock to lower the cost of living,” he said.
