ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro said the decision follows confirmation from the Zambia Police Service that the political situation in Kaputa had normalized.
The Commission commended the police, political party leaders, stakeholders and members of the public for efforts to restore peace and order in the constituency.
ECZ reminded all parties, candidates and supporters to conduct campaigns peacefully and to adhere to the Electoral Code of Conduct and other electoral laws.
The Commission said it will continue to monitor campaigns nationwide and will enforce its powers under the Electoral Process Act against any party or candidate found engaging in violence or conduct that undermines the electoral process.
Kasaro urged stakeholders to remain committed to peaceful campaigns so voters can exercise their democratic right freely and without fear.
