JUST IN: ECZ Admits Mistake, Releases New Results for Chizela Ward in Mufumbwe

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says a mistake was made during the initial announcement for the Chizela Ward councillor position in Mufumbwe, and has since issued updated results.

UPND’s Katala Peter has now been declared the winner. This overturns the earlier declaration of Kakesi Prince, who contested as an Independent and had already started celebrating.
