DR EDNA LITANA IS NEW EAZ PRESIDENT

DR EDNA Litana has been elected President of the Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) at the association’s annual general meeting held in Livingstone.

An economist, entrepreneur, and academic, Dr Litana holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zambia.

Her academic and professional interests are strongly focused on financial inclusion and the role of economics in transforming lives and creating opportunities for underserved communities.

Beyond academia, she is co‑founder and Board Chairperson of Bridge Trust Finance Limited, a business partner at Fide Rock where she contributes to financial services and inclusion initiatives, and founder of Thrive Spot Restaurant, an award‑winning culinary establishment in Lusaka.
